Amanohashidate - 天橋立

That day, we wanted to have a so called "holiday" to relax - going for a swim and enjoying the sun. Unfortunately, there was rain again. Thus, it was not the best weather to swim. But: no problem. This day was really nice, too. We regarded the "bridge to heaven" (translation of amanohashidate) from two sides. The bridge is a small sand-spit covered with thousands of pines. The legend tells that two gods came down to earth at this place when visiting Miyajima, if I remember correctly...
Together with Miyajima and Sendai, Amanohashidate is one of the three great views of Japan.
