Kanazawa City

Kanazawa is positioned "in the middle", more precisely about 300 km to the west of Tokyo, at the northcoast of the main island Honshu. Around Kanazawa, there are no large cities. Here, there has been cultivated a lot of rice. There are about 450.000 residents, but Kanazawa is only a medium-sized city in Japan. For example, Tokyo has about 12.000.000 residents and is the biggest city, by far.
